Footnotes On The Border is a media interrogation on the nature of borders, their materiality and the forums they construct. Through the pages of the book, the Danish border environments come into focus, exposing the hostility of an elusive, techno-bureaucratic surveillance state through its spatial configurations. The ghetto, the prison, the asylum camp and the colony are investigated as the sites of confrontation with the other. Personal notes and newspaper headlines annotate the sites of investigation and locate them in relation to each other and the researcher.
